His feats in the gym have been a hot topic in Irish Rugby since his days in Leinster’s academy system, and at 22, the powerhouse continues to post impressive numbers in the weight room.

As Jonny Waterson noted in The Irish Times, “Noted for his strength, Porter, if the figure doing the rounds is accurate, can squat 350kg (772lb) or, if you like, three Cian Healys. Quite an effective mass of cleaning-out power.”

This 350kg figure first surfaced in a 2016 article on The42.ie.

Porter recently shared an astonishing video of himself squatting 230kg for 8 reps as part of his preparation for the Rugby World Cup last year.

No matter how you look at it, Porter is incredibly strong.
