Bristol Bears confirm the signing of unexpected Wasps star

Former Wasps scrum-half Will Porter has signed for the Bears as injury cover with immediate effect.

The 23-year-old, who represented Wasps 58 times, scoring four tries, joins following an injury to Harry Randall.

Director of Rugby, Pat Lam, said: “With the long-term injury to Harry Randall, we needed some cover at scrum-half and we’re pleased to bring in an exciting player of Will’s quality.

“He’s someone we’ve been impressed by when we have come up against him and he will add great competition in a key position for us.”

Porter added: “I’m really excited to be joining Bristol and I can’t wait to get started with the team. I’m really grateful for the opportunity and excited for the rest of the season.”
