The couple, who tied the knot in 2018, are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their newest family member.

Ahead of going on maternity leave, Camilla wrote: “As I had my last concert before maternity leave last Thursday, I thought I’d share some thoughts on being a Mumma doing predominantly stage work.

“Firstly, I’m hugely greatful to the @royalballetandopera for being so accommodating of the late stage of my pregnancy. Though things are changing for the better, I’ve heard several (recent) stories about the opposite happening with various companies/choirs.

“Secondly, my nesting instinct kicked in at around 34 weeks and it made me want to stay very close to home and avoid overly crowded areas. Not ideal for a person who sings for thousands. I’d suggest to other performers (though saying no to jobs is so SO hard) maybe stop public work around 35 weeks, more for mental reasons than physical. Though the travel/stairs/new dressing rooms/people was a little overwhelming too.

“Thirdly (mainly for singers) just lean into the way your voice changes during each trimester, don’t try and fight it. Most likely you’ll still be able to sing your core repertoire (albeit with slightly different technique) and much larger pieces too. I used this pregnancy to really learn about my voice and it’s capabilities, whilst also doing a bit of vocal rehab each week. My voice actually improved after my last baby, can’t wait to see how it ends up this time,”

Prior to having their first child, the former rugby captain said soprano Camilla would be “a fantastic mum” and praised his wife for being “good with kids”.

“Chris is going to be a great dad,” the singer gushed back. “He’s always on the go. He always wants to be running around.”
