CONFIRMED: Eddie Jones also in charge of Women’s team on rugby return

The news broke today that Eddie Jones would be returning to Australia, as the newly appointed Head Coach of the Wallabies.

Taking over the reins from Dave Rennie, Jones will be in charge of the Wallabies for the upcoming Rugby World Cup.

However, the former England Head Coach’s role does not stop there, as he will also oversee the Australian Women’s national team, the Wallaroos.

To qualify for the knock-out stages, Australia secured wins in Pool A over home nations sides Scotland and Wales, before being beaten 41-5 and eliminated by eventual runners-up England.

He will be working alongside the Wallaroos Head Coach Jay Tregonning, who has been involved in the Australian rugby set-up since his first appointment in 2014, when he was made Assistant Coach for the Wallaroos.
