Ranking ahead of him were his Chiefs teammates, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes. This marks his first time making it into the top 10 most-sold jerseys in the UK.
However, fans who bought his jersey were disappointed when the Welshman was cut from the team, not even making it to the practice squad for the upcoming season.
Following his release by the Kansas City Chiefs, the reigning Super Bowl champions, Rees-Zammit cleared the NFL’s waiver wire process, which allows teams to claim eligible players who have been cut by other teams.
As a result, the Welshman, who joined the league through the International Player Pathway (IPP), was picked up by the Jacksonville Jaguars, owned by Fulham Football Club’s owner Shahid Khan. Because he cleared waivers, he does not count against a team’s practice squad numbers.
The Jaguars, often referred to as the UK’s unofficial home team, play two home games per year in London, typically at venues like Wembley Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
