One of the best cameos seen at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games so far, has been that of American rapper Snoop Dogg. The musician made the long journey from the LBC to Paris, and was even on hand to provide some top tier commentary on France’s sevens superstar Antoine Dupont, as the halfback led Les Bleus to Olympic Gold on home soil.
Snoop Dogg provided some commentary snippets for United States broadcasters NBC, and had his say on the action when Dupont led the charge in the Gold Medal Final against Fiji. In a clip that has since gone viral on social media website X, Snoop Dogg expressed how he would sign Dupont to his fantasy American football team, and loved the post match celebrations as the French squad ‘got their groove on’.
The hip-hop star has been enjoying the Paris Olympics, with plenty of screen-time showing Snoop Dogg watching the games in the French capital. Snoop Dogg was apart of an entourage of music icons, including Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, that watched Simone Biles lead Team USA to gold medals, in yesterday’s Team Gymnastics event.
Whilst the legend of Long Beach did not witness the United States win any gold medals in rugby sevens, the California native has certainly been having a fun time, watching the rugby out in Paris. Perry Baker was Team USA’s top performer, and made his way into RUCK’s Men’s Rugby Sevens Team of the Olympics.
Ilona Maher continued to grow as a social media sensation for the American women’s sevens side, with Snoop Dogg amongst the fans that loved watching her mantra of Beast, Beauty and Brains led her side to Bronze.
