The 39-year-old caused concern when he shared footage from his hospital bed on social media, his arm in a sling following surgery. Haskell sustained the injury while attempting a viral social media challenge that involves spinning another person in a circle.

In a light-hearted Instagram post, the show’s team poked fun at the incident, writing: “How Hask tore his bicep… We’re sorry @jameshaskell!” Fans were quick to react with amusement. One commented, “Years of rugby and a torn bicep after lifting Mike,” while another joked, “Almost Olympic standard guys lol.”

Others joined in with the fun, with one user declaring, “This wins the internet today!” while another added, “That’s hilarious—I can’t stop laughing.”

The video came shortly after Haskell posted an update from his hospital bed, reassuring fans that he was in good spirits following surgery. Explaining the injury, he said: “On Monday, I tore the bicep tendon off my left arm. I wasn’t even training, just filming some content. The first two attempts were fine, but on the third, I changed my grip and ended up putting 109kg through one arm. It just snapped, and the sound was horrific.”

9. Beauden Barrett (New Zealand) – Barrett is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world, but some believe his performances have been inconsistent, particularly at the Test level in recent years. They argue that while he excels in Super Rugby, his form for the All Blacks has fluctuated.

8. Maro Itoje (England) – While Itoje is seen as a world-class lock and one of England’s key players, there are critics who believe that his influence is sometimes overstated, especially when England is struggling as a team.
