LIVE: Paris Olympics Women’s Rugby Sevens Day 3 – Semi Finals & Medal Matches

It is the final day of the 2024 Paris Olympics Women’s Rugby Sevens, with the medals up for grabs in this evenings fixtures. The markers have been laid down following an exhilarating end to the pool stages, before both Team GB and Ireland were eliminated from medal contention in yesterday evening’s quarter-finals.

Great Britain’s quest for a piece of Olympic hardware came to a close yesterday, as they were defeated by the USA 17-7. The best position GB fans can hope for is a fifth placed finish, with the side kicking off this quest with a semi-final against China. Ireland face the same fate after taking a heavy quarter-final elimination to Australia (40-7).

The Wallaroos and United States are amongst the favourites for gold medals, along with the host nation France. Les Bleus Women are looking to replicate the gold medal accomplishments of the men’s team, with the likes of Seraphine Okemba leading the charge for the hosts.

We will be covering all of the action from Paris here live on Ruck, with Chief Writer Tom Sansom taking the lead in our score-by-score updates below.
