Jumping off ferry – £3,000

 Tuilagi was cautioned during fter he jumped off a ferry about to berth at the Auckland Ferry Terminal and swam to a nearby pier.

Tuilagi, 20, was detained by police and held for an hour before being released. The Leicester centre was given a pre-charge warning for disorderly behaviour before being released back to the England team management, who were said to have been “a little bit embarrassed” by events.

The RFU released a statement saying Tuilagi had been disciplined and fined £3,000. The centre said: “I’m really sorry. It was a silly thing to do and I apologise to everybody for any inconvenience caused.” The England team manager, Martin Johnson, added: “This was an irresponsible thing to do. Manu has been disciplined internally and I have warned him about his future conduct.”
