At an Insolvency and Companies Court hearing in London, Judge Sebastian Prentis granted former England rugby union player Lawrence Dallaglio an extension to settle a tax debt of approximately £700,000.
HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) officials had filed a bankruptcy petition against Dallaglio. During the hearing, an HMRC representative informed the judge that Dallaglio was attempting to raise funds by selling a property.
According to Irish News, the court was informed that the case would be reviewed by a judge in roughly three months.
Although represented by a lawyer, Dallaglio was not present at the hearing, and his full name, Lawrence Bruno Nero Dallaglio, appeared on court documents.
Dallaglio was a member of the England squad that won the 2003 Rugby World Cup.
