‘Quest for Gold’ – Team GB’s Olympic Rugby Sevens Campaign Begins this Sunday

The countdown is almost over for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, with Rugby Sevens set to take centre stage this week. The men’s tournament gets underway on Wednesday, however Team GB fans will have to wait a little longer to see their side compete in the French capital. Great Britain begin their quest for Olympic Gold on Sunday, as the side only qualified for the Women’s Rugby Sevens event.

Great Britain have been drawn into Pool B for the Games, and line up alongside Ireland, Australia and South Africa for the Parisian tournament. All of Team GB’s matches will be played at the Stade de France, the home of Les Blues. Team GB have bolstered their squad with two of England’s Women’s squad, with Harlequins wing Ellie Kildunne and former Sevens star Meg Jones set to swap the Red Rose for the Union Jack this Sunday.

The BBC Sport Website is set to host all the action from the Paris Olympics, so if the match not aired on TV, be sure to head online to watch Team GB. Here is a run down of Great Britain’s schedule, for the 2024 Olympic Games Women’s Rugby Sevens.
