This summer he turns 37 and Ryan Mills, also an inside centre, has been recruited from Worcester Warriors, meaning it’s unlikely he’ll stay with Wasps. With Max Malins joining Bristol Bears on loan and Owen Farrell unlikely to feature prominently in the second-tier, Gopperth would be the perfect signing to guide the men in black through the Championship.
