STATEMENT: Leicester Tigers flanker departs with immediate effect

Leicester Tigers lock Mike Williams has bid farewell to the club following the conclusion of his short-term contract with the club.

The back-rower represented the club on 85 occasions across two stints, adding his valuable experience and mentorship to Dan McKellar’s group throughout the team’s extensive pre-season and Premiership Rugby Cup pool stages of the current season. 

Williams wore number 5 against Sale in Round 2 of the Gallagher Premiership, and will now head overseason to continue his career.

Tigers will welcome back their Rugby World Cup internationals on November 6, including World Champions Handré Pollard and Jasper Wiese.
