Scottish Rugby has appointed former IRFU performance director David Nucifora as an advisor for the next two years, starting in November.
Nucifora, who held a similar position in Ireland for a decade, will be tasked with developing a professional pathway for emerging players at Murrayfield.
In December, it was announced that Nucifora would also take on a high-performance role with Australian Rugby. He is expected to manage both roles concurrently.
The Australian has been instrumental in Ireland’s success over the past ten years, contributing to four Six Nations titles and two Grand Slam victories.
His appointment is considered a significant acquisition in rugby circles and follows the departure of Jim Mallinder from his position as performance director at the Scottish Rugby Union eight months ago.
At 62, Nucifora will also assist in choosing his successor before his advisory term concludes in 2026.
