The brilliant bit of sportsmanship missed following Italy’s win against Australia

Italy full-back Ange Capuozzo scored two tries to help his country claim a first win against Australia.

Winger Pierre Bruno also scored a try as Italy earned a famous 28-27 victory in Florence.

Ben Donaldson had the chance to convert a late Australian score for the win, but put his effort wide of the posts.

One bit of sportsmanship that was missed by some fans was Italian kicker Tomasso Allen, who had struggled from the tee himself, went straight over to console Donaldson while his teammates celebrated.

One fan wrote: “Allan straight across to commiserate. Classy touch,’

“Brilliant bit of sportsmanship from the Italy No.10 there,” commented a second.

A third said: “That is what rugby is all about.”
