The young back-rower, who previously represented England U20 on multiple occasions, faced uncertainty after his former club, London Irish, folded last year.

Joining Exeter University Rugby Team

Following a challenging period without a club, Brooke has found his way back onto the field by joining the Exeter University rugby team. The team competes in the fourth tier of English rugby, providing Brooke with an opportunity to regain his form and pursue a future in the sport.

Aiming for Exeter Chiefs

Brooke’s return to the game comes with ambitions of climbing the rugby ladder, with hopes of eventually securing a place in the Premiership side, Exeter Chiefs. The Exeter Uni RFC serves as a potential stepping stone on this journey.

Balancing Rugby and Studies

While rekindling his rugby career, Brooke is also focused on his academic pursuits. He is currently studying for a degree in Accounting and Finance, combining his passion for the sport with a move into the world of finance.

Zinzan Brooke selects his rugby dream team, doesn’t select Dan Carter or Richie McCaw

In Brooke’s selection, eight New Zealanders make the cut, along with three Frenchmen, two Australians, and one player each from South Africa and Wales.

The 53-year-old’s team is sure to spark debate among rugby fans around the world.
